Director | Dramaturg | Associate Director | Assistant Director

Alice Eklund is a Wales-based Director, Dramaturg and Creative Practitioner specialising in new musicals, actor-musician work and contemporary new writing, often with a bold bilingual (Welsh/English) edge. A Welsh-speaking, queer and disabled artist, she is passionate about developing ambitious, punchy work that balances intensity while keeping people at its heart, championing access, representation and unheard voices. Her practice centres people-first processes, with a focus on women-led, queer-led and disabled-led stories. She has collaborated with organisations including Sherman Theatre, Theatr Cymru, Theatr Clwyd and Wales Millennium Centre and was the inaugural Literary Associate at the Sherman Theatre. She has been a visiting lecturer and director at RWCMD and Trinity Laban and has sat on industry panels including BEAM as a Welsh representative. She also judged the Stiles + Drewe Prize. She is particularly keen to collaborate on bold new musical and actor-musician projects.
