LoUis CYfer is a German-born, Yorkshire-raised actor, drag king, and theatre-maker working across contemporary theatre, classical text, cabaret, and screen. Their work includes originating Charlie in Cowbois (RSC/Royal Court), Host and Pistol in The Merry Wives of Windsor at Shakespeare’s Globe, and leading the West End production of Death Drop 2: Back in the Habit.
An MA-trained performer and established creator, CYfer is the sole performer of the triple award-winning solo show Joan, written by Milk Presents in close collaboration with CYfer, and has spent over a decade developing bold, character-led work through director-mentored processes, workshops, and immersive performance.
CYfer’s shows are joyful, mischievous, and unapologetically Northern, blending sharp comedy, music, physicality, and heightened character with an easy, charismatic rapport that brings audiences with them. Beneath the fun sits rigorous craft and emotional precision, with work that playfully interrogates masculinity, power, and desire while remaining generous, inclusive, and highly entertaining.
